The State government has envisaged Hosur as an international airport located in Shoolagiri taluk (between Berigai and Bagalur), which will have a capacity to handle 30 million passengers. It will take a minimum of six to eight months to get site clearance for the Hosur airport, sources said. In the case of the Parandur airport, it took a little more than a year for the Tamil Nadu government to receive site clearance.
